PROJECT AIMS

Design a Public warning system for emergencies and disasters.
It will be in the form of both a website and an app.
The app/site will act as a first stop for all public emergency/warning announcements.
It will also provide information about the actions to take if the situation becomes potentially dangerous.
The app/site must also be personalised to suit the clients needs.
We will use Covid-19 as an example for this disaster.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

Try to be precise. The more detail you have, the easier it is to see all of the steps you need and to tick these off as you go.
Research Covid-19 and its current effect on Ireland (and around the world).
Study other emergency apps for weather disasters and see if there is anything that is used that can also be used for a medical alert app.
Study different peoples needs for the app. A student will be using it in a different way of informing themselves than an elderly person would.
Look at layouts for websites. The Bus Eireann real time website is a good example of a live tracker. How does it work? It has an active tracker on it that can be used in cities.
Look at websites that are made to provide information. Shop websites for example.
